Product visualisation combining 3D modelling, environment design and commercial imagery for a portable travel radio.

Project Overview
The project focused on creating a set of photorealistic product visuals for the A2 Handheld Travel Radio, presenting the radio within a range of environments that reflected its portable and everyday use. The aim was to create polished commercial imagery that showcased the product's design while communicating its versatility as a travel companion.
I took the product from its original CAD data through to a finished 3D model, developing the materials, lighting and environments before producing the final renders. The imagery was then refined in post-production to create a consistent set of visuals suitable for ecommerce and wider digital marketing.

The Challenge
The A2 was designed as a portable travel radio, so the imagery needed to communicate more than its physical design. The challenge was creating believable environments that suggested travel, movement and everyday use while keeping a relatively small product as the clear focal point. The scenes also needed to feel natural rather than overly staged, allowing the product's portability to come through visually.
The Solution
I used a fully controlled 3D workflow to build environments specifically around the product and its intended use. This gave me control over the camera, lighting, materials and positioning, allowing each scene to be carefully composed around the radio. I could then explore different environments and perspectives while maintaining a consistent visual style across the campaign.

Design Direction
The visual direction focused on presenting the A2 as a practical, portable companion for travel and everyday use. The environments, lighting and compositions were designed to feel natural and lifestyle-led while keeping the compact radio clearly visible within each scene.
Final Visuals
The final visuals combine photorealistic 3D environments with detailed product renders to present the A2 in a range of travel and everyday settings. Each image was designed to showcase the radio's compact form while communicating its versatility as a portable product.
